Club career

Surać was brought to Hajduk Split at the age 14, when he was noticed by scout Dražen Mužinić. In 2008, he was loaned to Hrvace and with 12 goals helped them win Treća HNL South. However, Hrvace weren't granted Druga HNL license and didn't get promoted. After his scholarship contract expired in summer 2008, he signed a five-year professional contract with Hajduk.[1] For the first half of the next season, Surać was loaned to Druga HNL side Junak and scored 7 goals.[2] He was again loaned, this time to RNK Split in the 2009–10 season. He helped them win promotion to Prva HNL with four goals in 15 matches.[3] The following season Surać joined Mosor for another loan spell. In the first half of the season he scored two times in seven games. In January 2011, he joined Dugopolje on loan.[4] On 10 February 2011, Surać sustained a broken shinbone in a friendly match against Hajduk.[5]
